EVENT DETAILS

“Intellectual Property Basics: How Do I Protect My Craft & My Brand?”  You’re well aware of how much time, thought, and energy you’ve invested in your studio practice and business, and are justifiably proud of the results! But how do you go about protecting your work from “copycats”? What can you do if you find your work being resold on eBay, or Amazon? What should you do if someone else claims your goods are not original, and you are violating their rights? This workshop will cover some basics of common intellectual property (IP) protection, and give an overview of considerations in seeking IP protection and enforcing IP claims.  This is a partnership event between MCMA and Maine Crafts Association. More info and registration here.

MCA or MCMA Members: $20, Non-Members: $30. Elevator access to 2nd floor classroom.
