Portland author Wayne Cobb will be speaking about the Quakers who lived in the area in the 18th century and particularly James Winslow. Winslow employed Quaker values to expand the growing and canning of corn along the Presumpscot River ultimately into a worldwide industry. Refreshments provided, all are welcome.

FREE and open to the public. Noon. Elevator access to 2nd floor library.
