The youngest organization in the Membership Libraries Group, the Seattle Folio is the first membership library to be created in this country in over a century. Founded in 2014, it carries on the tradition of 19th-century athenæums in 21st-century Seattle. Join Executive Director Caroline Cumming to learn more about this sister institution. For members.

A native of Ireland, Caroline Cumming arrived in Seattle at the height of the dot com boom and spent 8 years as a producer of digital media technologies. After moving to the nonprofit sector, she has served numerous Seattle arts organizations in leadership roles in administration, strategic planning, development and programming. A passionate storyteller, experienced curator and independent producer, her focus has been on producing social action media and introducing audiences to ideas that address the need for dramatic environmental and social change. Caroline studied Computer Applications at Dublin City University and has a BA in Communications from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
