This October, we’re excited to bring Portland, Maine based potter Ayumi Horie right to your computer for an in-depth virtual chat!

Horie’s three-part presentation will begin with her socially engaged projects which include The Democratic Cup, Pots In Action, and Portland Brick, a public art installation in the India Street neighborhood. She will then move into her studio to explain the making process behind some of her pots and finally to her own kitchen for a fun segment called “A Potter’s Cupboard” where she will talk about the functional works that reside in her personal collection.
